[ After Steven receives the text, he hangs around the area as planned around his originally requested time. He doesn't pace or anything, but the way he's got his arms crossed, brows furrowed and a hard look in his eye as he watches people mill about is telling about there being something on his mind.
He glances up as Fukuda arrives, and -- uh? ...He supposes he should address the elephant in the room before anything else. ]
...So, that wouldn't happen to be yours, would it?
Well... are you feeling alright? [ YOU'RE NOT LIKE... DELIRIOUS FROM BLOOD LOSS ARE YOU. Steven's going to reach out and like... pinch a part of his clothes with the dried blood, feeling the texture, how long ago-ish it might've been.
[NOW HE CAN REALLY MAKE USE OF SHEILA'S MOM SOLUTION!]
Ah.... well, I have a headache but I don't think it's related. [It's not super old? But it is dry, so it's gotta be from at least a few hours ago. It could be from around curfew time.]
[ He drops his hand, still looking a little nonplussed about it -- but then again, his Orpheus trip did consist of all of the water being replaced by blood. So, surely Fukuda could've been in a similar bind... possibly overnight. ]
I see. Are you feeling well enough to talk? Since... clearly, important things have happened.
It's too early to call it that the death is team-based.
[ It's unfortunate... Tamaki Suoh. He spoke with the boy on the first day -- had a nice chat over music and everything. ]
Especially given... the odd signs that potentially point to a animal-caused murder. The wake-up text, and before I fell asleep, I could've sworn I'd heard... something.
Hm... I wonder what happens if we can't. Do we even have any people who have a police or forensic background?
There's at least one with a military past, I myself have worked with the police, and there's a doctor... though he's not very much of the forensic variety.
What kind of equipment would that be... would it be possible to replicate it through, for example, Simulations, or is it more directly physically affecting?
Aaah, I doubt it would be possible to do that. So it doesn't matter, really. [Evade evade.]
In any case, for what we have at our disposal, I don't doubt our dour doctor will be of use, if we have to rely on him. He told me he knows the human body inside out and he seems to know how to perform an autopsy.
Oh, that he does. I actually had him show me an autopsy procedure through the Simulations. He's educated in the matter of the human body for educational purposes. He's no forensic scientist, he told me as much himself, but it's better than none and I think I could supply some insight on the latter aspect.
...Not that I'm any kind of forensic scientist, mind you -- but I've seen a lot to make some educated guesses.
Varying. I'm the subcommander of an organization whose main task is to find and dismantle any dangerous operations that threaten the safety of the city, in a place where humans and beings of the Beyond coexist in the same plane.
That's sometimes included having to look at unusual murders to trace MOs, illegal drugs or other enhancements, magic signatures... and that also includes sometimes working with other forces, like the police and military.
[ There, a very real and somewhat thorough answer. ]
Mm... well, I'm just the subcommander, after all. The most important one is the boss.
Either way, even though half of my team is idiots, they're all capable when they really put their mind to it -- I made sure I left things in a way that they could keep functioning while I went on my, ah, business trip. [ Yeah he's just going to casually diss the shit out of them where they can't hear. ]
WEEK 0, FRIDAY.

Sure. I'll see you then.
[Anyway when Fukuda shows up to the bar he's.... completely covered in dried blood? His face has been wiped clean but that's about it.]

Fukuda your need for bleach. ]

[ LIKE MURDER. ]

I'd thought after being told we weren't really on teams that maybe this wouldn't happen... It's a shame.

[Fukuda had a weird night.]
What Sloth and Envy said made it sound like something is going to happen tomorrow.
no subject
More death? Or... finding out what happened to the boy?
[ Imagine if the "thing" tomorrow was like, some kind of party. How fucked up would that be right after the death, huh? ]
no subject
[Maybe it is a party that we can't leave til we solve the murder.]
no subject
Hm... I wonder what happens if we can't.

[ This is going to get interesting... ]
no subject
Well, in a way, in the right situation, I'm a brilliant detective.
no subject
[ FUKUDA YOUR QUALIFIERS. They don't invoke much faith in your supposed brilliance. ]
Really? What would be the "right situation"?
no subject
[Uselessly vague as usual.]

Wow. It sounds like you must be quite busy, then. You sound really important, actually. Hopefully nothing happens to your home while you're here...
