Hm. Well, it'd be nice to at least have that closure even outside of the trial, where she can't be hunted down in the emotional heat of the moment.

Because it would be unwise to do it during the trial itself. Like I said earlier -- she could've risked getting executed if she confessed to the crime in the midst of all of that.

I know HK-47 would have definitely given her a vote.
