I do too. When I talked to Sloth, they didn't seem very worried about the possibility of people dying. Maybe the other avatars are different, but...

A battle royale would make sense for this many characters, but Aoi doesn't expect such a genre shift.

Aah. Obviously, a helpless type of girl thrust into that situation isn't unheard of, but they would have given us more of an impetus to start fighting by now.

[Somehow, even though Fukuda still doesn't think they're in a video game the way Aoi does, since he has more experience with fiction than actually talking to other people, he's fallen into thinking of it as one anyway.]

But that sounds more like backstory than plot.

Oh, it could be a plot if they're still planning to continue their crimes. Or maybe one person isn't what they seem, like in The Thing or other horror movies where people are trapped together with a monster like that.

It's hard to say, because it's probably not the most obvious suspect... And I haven't talked to everyone here yet, either. Mr Douman is a villain in all the stories I know, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's going to be here. He seems perfectly nice. If we knew what genre this was it would be easier.
